Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using launchkbeauty.com (the “Site”). By accessing or using any part of the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all terms, you may not access or use the Site.

These Terms are entered into between you and Launch K-Beauty, operated by Opepe, Republic of Korea (“we,” “our,” or “us”).

1. Description of Services

Launch K-Beauty provides:

  • Manufacturer Directory: A searchable directory of Korean cosmetics manufacturers, OEM/ODM suppliers, and related businesses. Listings are informational only.
  • Digital Products: Downloadable PDF guides (currently the K-Beauty Brand Launch Guide) sold via Paddle checkout.
  • Consulting Services: Paid one-on-one consulting sessions (Discovery, Matching, and Launch Support packages) booked through our website and delivered by Opepe. Consulting services are invoiced separately and are not processed through Paddle.
  • Premium Directory Listings: Paid featured placement for manufacturers, sold via Paddle.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Site or purchase any products or services. By using the Site, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. Use on behalf of a company or organization requires that you have authority to bind that entity.

3. User Accounts

Some features (such as claiming a listing or accessing premium content) may require you to create an account using Google or email authentication. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us immediately at support@launchkbeauty.com if you suspect unauthorized access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Directory Listings

4.1 For Visitors Using the Directory

The directory is provided for informational purposes. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee that any listing is complete, current, or free from errors. See our Disclaimer for full details.

4.2 For Manufacturers Claiming or Submitting Listings

By claiming or submitting a listing, you represent that you are authorized to act on behalf of the business and that the information you provide is accurate and not misleading. You agree to:

  • Provide truthful and accurate business information
  • Not include false certifications, misleading claims, or intellectual property that you do not own
  • Keep your listing information current — notify us of material changes
  • Not use the listing for illegal or fraudulent purposes

We reserve the right to remove, edit, or refuse any listing at our sole discretion, including for inaccurate information, user complaints, or violations of these Terms.

5. Digital Products (PDF Guides)

5.1 License

Upon purchase of a digital product through Paddle, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the content for your own business planning purposes. You may not:

  • Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the content
  • Share download links with third parties
  • Remove copyright notices or attribution
  • Use the content to create competing products without our written consent

5.2 Delivery

Digital products are delivered electronically via Paddle immediately upon payment confirmation. Delivery issues should be reported to support@launchkbeauty.com within 7 days of purchase. See our Refund Policy for applicable refund terms.

6. Consulting Services

6.1 Scope of Service

Consulting services are provided by Opepe based in Korea. The scope and deliverables for each package (Discovery at $497, Matching at $2,500, and Launch Support at $7,500) are described on the Consulting page. Any additional scope beyond what is described must be agreed in writing.

6.2 Not Professional Legal, Financial, or Regulatory Advice

Our consulting services provide business guidance and manufacturer connections based on practical experience in the K-beauty industry. They do not constitute legal advice, financial advice, regulatory compliance advice, or medical claims review. You are responsible for independently verifying compliance requirements for your specific markets and obtaining appropriate professional advice.

6.3 Cancellation and Rescheduling

Session cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled time may be rescheduled at no charge. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice forfeit the session fee. See our Refund Policy for full details.

6.4 Client Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information about your project and goals, respond to reasonable requests for information in a timely manner, and use deliverables lawfully and in accordance with these Terms.

7. Payments

Payments are processed through the following platforms acting as merchant of record or seller of record:

  • Paddle — for all paid transactions including digital products, consulting services, and premium directory subscriptions. Paddle is the merchant of record and handles all payment processing, VAT/sales tax collection, invoicing, and refunds globally. Their Terms and Privacy Policy govern payment processing.

All prices are displayed in USD. You are responsible for any applicable taxes not handled by our payment processors.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, guides, photographs, and software — is owned by Launch K-Beauty or licensed to us, and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

You may not:

  • Copy, scrape, or systematically extract content from the directory without our written permission
  • Use our name, logo, or branding without our written consent
  • Frame the Site or use our content in a manner that suggests affiliation without authorization

Manufacturers who submit listing information retain ownership of their own business information. By submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to publish and display that information on the Site.

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Site to:

  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law
  • Transmit unsolicited commercial communications (spam) to other users or listed manufacturers
  • Submit false, inaccurate, or misleading listing information or reviews
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its infrastructure
  • Use automated means to scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Site
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Site
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, that directory information is complete or current, or that any manufacturer connection will result in a successful business relationship.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LAUNCH K-BEAUTY AND ITS OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL — ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SITE, DIRECTORY LISTINGS, DIGITAL PRODUCTS, OR CONSULTING SERVICES.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of incidental damages. If these restrictions apply to you, some of the above limitations may not apply.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles.

For users in the EU/EEA: Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under EU law, including rights under the Consumer Rights Directive and applicable national consumer protection laws.

For disputes: We encourage you to contact us first at support@launchkbeauty.com to resolve issues informally. If informal resolution is not possible, disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Seoul, Republic of Korea, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country requires local jurisdiction.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date and, for significant changes, by posting a notice on the Site or sending an email. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
